I told him I didn't know how to work it. Which is somewhat true. It's a fancy barista one. I know how to grind the coffee. But I know he always asks for specific types of coffee. He usually wants the milk warmed in different ways.

And I know Jack shit about coffee.

He would get the same drink from me regardless of if he wanted an expresso, latte, or long white.

Aka - brown water in a cup.

Either way, why does finance strike you as the place to ask for someone to stop to make you a coffee? Make your own damn coffee like everyone else.

It's because one of my coworkers is an ass kisser. She usually jumps up to offer to make them coffee, but she was on the phone

Yeah this coworker is insane. She stays back an hour late each day to do extra things for the office no matter how much me and others have told her not to do that as she won't get recognition for it.

Even my direct manager has told her she should stop working for free. Yet.... She does.

Yup. Preaching to the choir. But she's also a bit of a jackass so I've stopped trying to convince her she's just wasting her time

Because she sucks up to the bosses. Doesn't care much if people below or same level as her needs help.

Although I do still like her more than the bad coworkers at my last job. At least she's got a bad personality, but also does her job and does it well.

Unlike before where is was a bad personality and slacking off

And maybe she'd be more willing to help out others that are below/same level as her if she wasn't so overworked and stressed because all the bosses know to ask her for favours as she never says no.
