20 songs/bands by which to know me? These will be in pretty much random order, since some I haven't thought about much in aaages, but they still had A Part in my life and everything.
Or the Beegees/Monkees/The Big Chill (yes I know that's a movie, but we had a soundtrack cassette for it!), where I heard lots of sounds together but never a full album.
I was first introduced to this band through... a Sonic video on Newgrounds, funnily enough. But with a title like 'Supersonic' I suppose it's to be expected.
Due to life-timing, this is the band I associate most with my Cloudy-With-A-Chance-of-Meatballs days, which probably makes it a stretch in any other case.
15. A song, this time: How The Moon Must Feel is one I've gone back to recently. My Thomas&Friends phase is the only one I feel any kind of embarrassment about, but I picked up some good music from it, and for that I don't mind.
10. The Awakening, aka the high school choral piece that has most stuck with me. (You'll want the second track - also this is approx 7 minutes, so you might want to clear some time just to hear everything that's going on!)
(you lot don't get my favorite Hebrew/synagogue pieces, because I don't have those recordings online, and they can be very congregation-specific for the tunes. :V )
9. Speaking of Wakenings, I give you both this playlist (tentative) and Living Inside the Shell, because I associate both very strongly with the Livejournal/Dreamwidth game.
Thematic underpinnings of the beginning and end, that sort of thing. And I encountered both due to the game, of course (it was very difficult to actually FIND that concept album, sob, so I'm not sure even now if it was what I'm looking for...)
O.A.R's SHATTERED, as one of those I encountered before I really found fandom (participating just as a spectator, no real accounts, etc), and has stuck by me a long time.
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE (Yes, really) My experience with Fall Out Boy (FOLIE A DEUX) and Panic at the Disco (Death of a Bachelor) also goes here, though I tend to consider them all as a package.
THE FRAY is me. I could list all the songs of theirs that strike at me the most, but since I found them all by slowly proceeding through the 'Related Songs' menu, that's probably the most accurate experience I can recommend.
CARBON LEAF, another one I only learned about through the Young Wizards fandom (and the latter song is peak Voidtreckers to me, which is why I link it specifically).
16. Imagine Dragons Night Visions Full Album - YouTube IMAGINE DRAGONS.
