Today in "well, today is fucking stupid"

the company I was working for as a contractor terminated their relationship with my contracting agent at end of day, September 13.

...no one mentioned it.

So I go to lunch and come back to my computer remotely locked, no idea what's going on, and things are nuts.

more than an hour later I get a call from my agency telling me this.

need to find out if I'm going to get my sick pay, but had already revved up the job search and about to file for unemployment.

They were going to send me a label to return the stuff, as well as information about my last check and getting a payout for my earned sick pay, and, well, nothing. I called this morning at 11 AM my time (8 AM their time) and no one picked up.

This is gonna be a day.
