[Gaming] The whole Unity thing is like watching a train derail in slow motion

I get why they hired him as a CEO. Unity has not made any profits at all since its conception

However, this is not the way to go at it. This is just killing the beast lmao

And getting the wraith of so many game studios

Also as I mentioned in another thread, Quebec is like, the 5th biggest producer of video games? We have a LOT of studios. But we also have very very powerful consumer protection laws

So if this continues, someone at any of the Quebec studios might launch a provincial lawsuit against them as well

The thing that strikes me as weird is like

That's the kind of move you'd expect a company to pull when they have a near monopoly over something

There are alternatives and the pain of moving doesn't seem to exceed the pain of the proce

The current CEO ran EA really badly

up until 2013 . He made so many bad decisions it's like "why do they hire these people" and honestly idk

I know the devs of Cult of the Lamb is planning to remove the game Jan. 1st and I wonder if other devs will follow suit.

are they going to try and remake the game in a different engine? cause this is just wild
