she just came prancing into my room making the 'my dish is empty!' noise, which like, I know it is, she wolfed down what was in it an hour ago

and we have a bit of back and forth with 'no you already ate' 'yeanh!'

and so finally I say: "You had food, do you need a cuddle?"
And just get the quietest, most dismissive: "Nyeh." before she flops down under my chair

and her vocal range goes from 'tiny baby squeak-mew' to 'octegenarian with a two-pack-a-day-habit gravel' and it cracks me up every time
