[work] another glowing monthly review, at least today is starting on a good note. also last month was even higher volume than July so I guess I can cut myself some slack for feeling wore out the past few weeks (even if this busy season hasn't personally felt as horrible as last year, thankfully)
things you like to hear in your monthly 1:1 meeting: "we [management] use you when we need to show someone an example of how to do X" "your name comes up all the time when we talk about who's doing well"
idk it's always weird to me when I get praise for being thorough and catching details because to me it just feels normal? like obviously I should check xyz, what do you mean other people on the team miss these super obvious (to me) things

: welp plurk hid this from me. thank you! :3 it's been a little over a year at this company and getting actual feedback and being appreciated is finally feeling a bit less weird lol. prior company was kind of a mess, and because I was one of the sadly rare responsible adults in that dept I was pretty much left to do my thing
and the only "feedback" I got was once a year at review/raise time where it was generally "I know I can trust you to do your job" mixed with "yes things suck but we just have to deal with it". which wasn't exactly helpful or useful
