I'm doing the Secrets of Azeroth, of course, because it's not like there aren't five events at the exact same time, let's do the one that'll gimme a DOG.
You will, if you do Secrets, obtain a Thinking Cap that gives you X/Y coordinates for navigation to next steps, or individuals, or items.
There's two secret tracks - the quests given by the bloke in the Roasted Ram, and satchels, teased out in community posts (forums, official Insta, blue posts, etc.).
First satchel is in Eastern Plaguelands. I zeroed out my Thinking Cap at the clue (a plaque stuck in an old stump), found they glitched the directions with a wrong value (- instead of +), and went off to the next thingie after a successful find. The numbers are amusing: Darkshore is about 1100 'bolts' away from the Plaguelands?
The Bolt (or Y) value was very low when I arrived in old Dalaran - I flew south until it zeroed, and it's just north of the edge of the Ruby Dragonshrine in Dragonblight. [major eyebrow action]
i haven't started the mimiron parts yet since i heard they need multiple people and i dont have multiple people on hand so sad i have to interact with the community instead of being a stodgy old hermit

No wonder they won't give us an altimeter/depth meter.
Part 3 was a walk in the relative, time-shifted park as a contrast.
