squints in confusion

I just offered this person three cards from their wishlist for the last ER need from Funny Fruits
skerple
two rares and a very rare
skerple
they countered to ask for one ER that they already have
skerple
and I just don't understand this.
skerple
like, I guess they probably just really want to trade ER for ER? but I can't imagine turning down three cards you have actively wishlisted in favor of one you already have, just for the sake of tier matching
skerple
also it's an OOP card with <300 copies. so I'm side-eyeing a lil.
skerple
an OOP card with 277 copies for one that's currently unlimited is a much more lopsided trade than the one I proposed.

Wild

puts my foot down very gently

I've had people just remove cards I'm offering when I do like... an oop ER plus a handful of commons (or commons and rares if its one of the last few I need) for an oop ER that has much much fewer prints so the trade is just ER for ER and it blows my mind every time
𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖙𝖎𝖊𝖗
Let me? Sweeten the deal for you a lil??
𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖙𝖎𝖊𝖗
Or give some extras as a thank you??
skerple
YEAH THAT'S ALWAYS SO WILD
skerple
I countered with my original offer plus two more rares from their wishlist, hopefully that's good enough
skerple
but if they insist on the same ER then I think we will simply not end up making a trade
skerple
because I am simply not going to trade my OOP 277-copy ER for a card that is currently in print and unlimited. I will just find somebody else to trade with instead.
skerple
OKAY COOL THEY ACCEPTED MY SWEETENED OFFER
Remony Atremony
Ohhhh they wanted the much rarer card??? I thought they were the one offering you the much rarer card
Remony Atremony
And I was like wow you are really going out of your way to be generous
Remony Atremony
Lol they were just trying it on then
skerple
lol yeah
