still in th slow process of rereading this, just...extremely gay abt the setup this fic gives to kk and naya.... theyre hunted and desperate and would die/kill for each other, karkats tiny and self-hating so he designates himself kanaya's blood supplier "cause i've got nothing else to contribute", uggghhh they

the romantic core of the fic is rose/kanaya but sometimes the ancillary couple being what really fucking Gets Me makes it even more intoxicating. blood in the water and im shark. like in the correctly-characterized davekat fics where dave and rose have A Thing Going On that's very special and very irreplaceable

i do also feel extra gooey about this 10 year old fic because...it is dead, i like dead things, theyre cozy. but its also unfinished, imbued with tragedy (because its very good & deserved an end). and considering its 20chapters and good it seems to have been relatively overlooked? the authors in-chara askblog posts only got finger-countable note#s.
