I stopped by my hairdresser today and was chatting with her daughter who just got back from vacation in Spain and now I’m looking at last minute holidays. I found one that’s 2 weeks all inclusive in Mallorca Spain leaving beginning of Oct for under €1200. I’m thinking about it. Maybe this week I’ll stop by the travel agency.

I’m so unsure. Travel has become super challenging for me the last 2 times but I just can’t handle this grey weather we’re having! This summer totally sucked weatherwize! It fucks with my head badly. Plus I was kinda hoping to cruise if I did travel. Now I’m just completely uncertain. But two weeks in the sun for under €1500/all in might do me good. Do I?

your last two trips have been very busy with lots of travel this would be much more relaxing staying in one place.

Heather/Sanura🦩 : the last one was Paris and we hardly did anything. It was however just a short 4 day trip. London was definitely more challenging. Especially keeping up w/ Kala_Bijoux and her sis! LOL It’s the whole luggage shlepping that really takes it out of me. Although my last trip to a resort last Dec was quite mixed.

I enjoyed the sun, pool, & dispensary but all the walking in such a huge complex was a bit much. I did however have a torn meniscus so that could’ve played a big part in that! LOL I just want to lie in the sun by a pool or beach somewhere.

Two weeks gives me time to really chill out. I was in Tenerife for 10 days and it was really just a couple days too short so 14-15 days might be better. Unpack my shit and just chill! I wonder if I could do it with just carryon luggage though? I did take a big bag + carryon to Tenerife. That really seemed adequate.

do you have a suitcase with wheels? it is a game changer
Heather/Sanura🦩
yes wheels are a game changer.

Chestnut : oh yeah. Only wheels for me! Plus I switched to the 4 wheeled kind not long ago. Game changer. The 2 wheel I can’t do. I still have to lift it up the steps on and off trains, busses, curbs, etc. Sometimes it’s just those 2-3 steps that are too much even when I pack light. Plus getting it downstairs in my house once I pack is always a challenge too.

Yak always did that for us. He was always the gentleman. I miss him. Yes, I could pack downstairs but then I’ve got to shlep everything down and run up and down the stairs for last minute things or forgotten items. I usually unpack downstairs because everything gets tossed in the wash anyway.

I need to hire a Sherpa when I travel! LOL

for that kind of money I'd consider a cruise. I love being in a different place every day without packing or moving... here's a great one: https://www.vacationstogo.com/...

That is a single's price in Euros, and takes you to all kinds of sunny places
Chestnut
Honestly a cruise might be perfect for you! No need to move things around a lot, built in entertainment and there are always people who want to socialize.

Maybe, I’ll ask at the agency this week. I need sunshine though so it has to be a sunny cruise. Then I’d have to fly to/from the ship plus spend money on land excursions and such. Plus the stress/strain of boarding/unboarding almost daily would be much. At a resort I can unpack, stroll down to the pool and just sunbath and spa all day. That’s all I want.

I’m looking to spend no more than €1500 for the whole trip.

I don't always go off the boat on cruises. This one is €1,050 for a single room, goes to the Costa de Sol, Northern and Northwestern Africa, Tenerife and Madiera
Gingo!
and I'm pretty sure you can get to and from Southampton for under €350, right?

Gingo! : that’s a nice cruise but not for me right now. When I finally cruise I want a nice room not a tiny inside room. I need a view at the very least. Plus it stops in places where I’d actually want to get off! LOL I’m thinking two weeks poolside with no extra excursions (except maybe for a day at the spa) is what I need right now.
Gingo!
FREEarmStar🌟🎉 : I understand. There are cruises where it's really important for me to have a view. Others, when I'm pretty sure I'm going to be just reading, eating, and laying in the sun I'm less fussy

Gingo! : yeah for me it’s more about the claustrophobia. I got locked in a cedar trunk when I was a kid. Still hate tiny spaces, even crowded elevators sometimes. Plus if it’s my first (and probably only) cruise I want luxury baby! LOL

I’m looking at adults only resorts right now.
