Just reached the introduction of the Flood in Halo 1 - I don't remember much about them from Halo 3, and I didn't play much of Halo 2, but I'm liking the atmosphere of the level so far.

So far, despite the Flood being treated like a bigger threat than the Covenant, I find them easier to deal with by comparison. (Also, I just entered the Library)

I can see why people would get annoyed with the Library level - even with what seems to be quality of life improvements in the remastered version, it still seems like it would easy to get turned around.

Guilty Spark is either crazy or can't tell one being apart from another, since he talks about how "last time", Master Chief asked "if you were in my position, would you activate Halo?"

That's the thing about the flood. They start off harmless enough... they get waaaaay more dangerous when they're allowed to congregate.

That and you know... having shields help. Humans without those are really really screwed against most flood forms.

Yeah. Being average human infantry without shields would be a death sentence.

It's better to think of the Flood like... an incredibly virulent pathogen to anything else biological

And that if you have shields that individually or in small groups they're not much of a threat if you have a shotgun

But there's uncountable legions

Oh, yeah, I get why they're a threat in terms of story. I thought they weren't as challenging as the Covenant in terms of gameplay until they showed up in larger numbers, or with rocket launchers.

I'm on The Maw, which seems to be the final level. I was low on ammo, so I backtracked and found the armory, which also included Flood with cloaking devices. I'm guessing they're more common on higher difficulties, but that caught me off-guard.

Beat the game! Surprised at what happened to Captain Keyes (I thought he lasted until Halo 3), though I suppose it's karma for unleashing the Flood.

Though Chief and Cortana being the only survivors seems weird considering that I know Sergeant Johnson survived.

I do not like driving sections (at least with the Warthog), so the final part of the level was a bit frustrating haha

Glad to see that the achievements for beating the game on lower difficulties unlock if you beat a higher difficulty. (So I got both the easy and normal achievements for beating it on normal)
