still working @ Yellowstone; mentally ready to leave. The situation/schedule improved, no more overtime. However, I’m “over” customer service. They’ve offered to let me work less—35 hrs/week. That’ll help. I’ll stay IF they let me take a 5 day, Naturalist seminar in late Sept, for free. The class usually costs +$1,300, but I was promised when I was hired.

They’ve turned me down for earlier sessions, saying we were short handed, but I said I’d leave if I couldn’t have it. They’ve accepted my registration, listed the days of the seminar as off work. We’ll see. Not sure they’ll follow through. If I’m able to take it, I’ll be a certified Yellowstone Master Naturalist.

(I’m already an Indiana Master Naturalist/Master Gardener.)

In the meantime, they’ve brought back a guy from early in the summer, who will replace the manager who quit in July. He’s ok, I think. He started yesterday.

Ugh. Flee as soon as you can but make it advantageous for you.

If the Yellowstone Master Naturalist is something you want to pursue, then hang in there. It sounds interesting.

I hope they keep their word; that seems worth staying for. Sorry it's been such a pain.
