[Control] Okay I’m pretty deep into the game now (tracking down Ahti’s vacation home) and I think I have a pretty good handle on the game’s gameplay systems now and I have one complaint to make about it

Launch is too fucking good

WAY too fucking good

There’s barely ever any reason to actually use the Service Weapon instead of throwing rocks and furniture at people

Launch is your main weapon

The Service Weapon is for taking pot shots while your energy is refilling

So

Which is bad! Like, they put a LOT of effort into the Service Weapon, it has a ton of systems around it, and instead haha floppy disk go brrrrrrrrr

This complaint is somewhat tempered by the fact that. Like. Chucking stuff at guys is really fun

It feels really good and also there's some tech to it

like how if you grab an item that's behind a guy, you can get two hits for one, because it'll smack them in the back of the head as it flies to you

Between Launch and how easy it is to use Levitate

the game really sells you on Jesse being VERY cool

Or the dodgy flying guys, if they hover over a throwable, you can immediately grab it and whip it up at them and they won't have time to dodge it
