Red, White, and Royal Blue

So... I liked it, I did not love it like the books (I want a sequel tbh.. comprised of them doing stuff like flossing their teeth together and going to bookstores) BUT if you want a movie that conveys their dynamics? It is a very good adaptation

the actors were PERFECT for the role

I adored Henry and Alex and thought they were conveyed VERY WELL

the Chief of Staff, Zahara was AMAZING and it was nice to see her shine

like she was probably the winner of that movie all around

i am so sad i didnt love the movie

they did some storyline flipping I was not comfortable (removeable characters, narrative sling shot)

like the whole Miguel thing was VERY slimey

like Miguel was in the book built sympathetically

someone asked me if they should start with the movie or book, not tagging them because I don't want to spoil them BUT I suggested watching the movie first. Because it is better to go up then down-- (honestly if I had watched Austenland after I read the book, I would not have enjoyed the movie 'as much' because book is so much better)

They gave him saying the word to Henry after they've slept together some weight which..... the more I think about it the more I'm a little over the change because worse than taking away the bisexual angst? Taking away the bisexual JOY.

That makes me sad the book was a complete delight.

I may watch later once it's less new but I'm just gonna enjoy the book again for now.

emery : honestly I think that's the best way to get maximum enjoyment. Watch a cute movie then read the book and get so much more depth.
