[ Furbaby ] I am a bit worried about Pepper. Technically, she is not "my" cat. However, she hangs out on or under the deck or in the mulch up against the house, oh yes, and under the car. She can leave when she wants, but she doesn't. She is very affectionate. I noticed a balding spot on her lower back. More in comments.

I'm worried it might be ringworm. I wash my hands each time I touch pet her. I told my husband as well.

We have 2 inside only cats, I worry the can potentially get it.

I won't shoo her away, but I would like her to get treatment.

I'm hoping I can give her over the counter meds.

I am still looking into that. Here are a few pictures. If anyone can guess if it is or not. Or just over grooming.

I'm not in a position at this time to take her to a vet.

But I think I will need to either treat it myself as i mentioned or call the rescue and see if they can pick her up.

I have to be honest. I am a bit attached, but it would be for her own good. And also posdible get her into a forever home.

This picture is from June 2023, and I do not notice it there, so it seems to be pretty recent. I read it could be because she lays in the mulch. Not sure how much truth there is to that.
