1 is half covered letters? 2 is an artist's logo? Not sure if the logo is from the actual artist, but the half covered letters are really suspicious... AI art?

OK, it looks like this and other art in the book IS by that artist, but that artist apparently fed an AI with their own sketches and shit and submitted the output the got from the AI for the book.

People have seen some of the original sketches.

Hm... less work, more profit

"Profit" is not what artists make.

I guess WotC did set very harsh deadlines for also low pay, so the artist(s) might have to trick around to save time.

I am done with D&D anyway. I have Pathfinder 2 and Cypher and Blood & Doom and many more that give me all I need from TTRPGs.
