[dnd] flops. hate having a problem player who is doing stuff which is annoying but also not enough for me to kick her out. (its the friend who visited me from victoria, shes not on plurk)

In my opinion, that warrants a warning...either be present, or accept things happening without you. Especially if it's not a game with all close friends.

As a DM, I'll allow my players to beg rescheduling on short notice if something comes up suddenly, but they're also good about at least turning up.

Sometimes one of them will lose track of time and need to be poked, but they also immediately log in when that happens.

Not 'oops I'm not at all ready, delay the game for me'.

honestly, I'd call that enough for a warning, yeah

D&D is a commitment that multiple people depend on everyone making. "don't start without me I'll be there in an hour" at the last minute is extremely rude

my group will sometimes start late because we get people eating dinner late or having last minute quick things, but when I say late I mean like. ten minutes. Not an hour.

(I have a Lot of Opinions and Pet Peeves about people who don't take D&D seriously as a commitment)
