question RE: casey's tracker. i also assume he has one from future!donnie, but am torn between it being a physical tracker that just uses a different method of detection from donnie's current stuff, or was actually a ninpo tracker bc casey came along after no more components were avail AND/OR casey was important enough for that
however when future!donnie died, the ninpo tracker would probably have vanished........unless u wanna fudge around with that explanation somehow?? (IE casey 'absorbing' hamato ninpo a la april/your app, or with current!donnie here, the ninpo tracker 'activates' again when they get closer or smth)
i'm leaning toward ninpo or ninpo/tech fusion because it would probably give donnie a LOT of insight into how close casey was with the turtles that way
donnie is still kind of side-eye about casey, not in a bad way but in a 'well i know you didn't have a choice but you did trap my brother in another dimension and i saw him getting beaten to death' kind of way
specifically since they talked afterwards and donnie was like "yeah if you can't promise you won't do something like that again then just know i'll do anything to keep you from doing it"
but if he's still keeping casey at arm's length and then he finds out that casey had like, a ninpo tracker it would be a bigger 'oh' moment for him than most other things given who he is
whereas donnie is like "you are barely a leader and we are a group and you make dumdum decisions so i don't think you are always right" which is probably how he was when they were older, though he was likely mature enough not to be so blatantly open about that
