had an excellent time hanging with Ptriciadactyl and her roommate today!

rode a ferry, wandered around an island + a civil war fort, had a great dinner, played a little Getting Lost Olympics on the way back to the bus station (where i have some time to kill so i get lost on purpose to see if i can find my way back on my own)

It hurt last night, but it's not bad today

yeah, that's about where my arms are; they have seen several layers of aloe and also some afterburn

lol donna is hitting me with the (absolutely bullshit) old wives tale of "you only burned because you don't get enough sun, get burned enough times and you'll start tanning instead"

you never go outside!" fam, even discounting the semi-frequent walks on local trails and such, i literally walk dogs outside as my job

even if you've got a skin type that tans easily burning a bunch is not the way you want to get there!

yeah, and i'm pale as fuck and never tanned, even when i was a child at daycamp outside from 8am to 4pm every day

I will tan slightly after I burn, but like..... I do not want that? I'll still be fairly pale, and I try to avoid burns, thanks. I will also continue burning when exposed to the sun no matter how many times it happens

I tan very easily but not any more easily from getting a sunburn than from non burning sun exposure, myself. And sunburns hurt! Plus the skin damage.
