Oppenheimer did not need to be 3 hours long and other old man yells at cloud takes I have lately.

Slept on it and still feel oddly salty. Like you can appreciate the craft, the performances, the achievement etc but the screenplay and the runtime just felt like hubris.

Plus the absolute need to see it in IMAX is completely overrated. The film is more intimate than it is epic.

Also we were in the market of those weird janky CGI censors which were funny at best, off putting at first like “why is Nolan filming this scene from a crack at the wall...oh”.

Should you still feel the need to see it, I’d opt for a lazyboy prestige cinema if possible. Otherwise it’ll feel like a long flight in economy. Complete with babies crying.

yeah I really haven't liked any of his films since TDK. Was already kinda iffy with Inception and everything after that has felt like a filmmaker who no longer listens to feedback.

In contrast we rewatched Barbie right before this, which still holds up 100%.
