So, here's what happened

This all happened because I had some previously unexpected expenses related to a surprise medical diagnosis

I ended up borrowing money from someone to cover those, but was given a pretty tight deadline to pay it back

As the deadline loomed I grew increasingly desperate and stressed which is why I'd been super antsy about all this

Scammer offers to deposit some money to my account using a check that I am now very sure is fraudulent

At first, I thought this was no strings attached

My instincts kicked in when they asked me to send a portion to someone else through Cashapp, then offered me a role in a really shady money making (laundering) scheme

I've contacted my bank, but unfortunately I've already lost a smallish amount of money through this bitch

Thank the GODS it wasn't more and this probably ruin my life

update: the scammer started harassing me after I refused to go along with the rest of their scam

I called my bank about it, explained the situation, and opened a new account that all my stuff is now linked to
