Hey, he wasn't worried about another idiot stealing from it! He was feeling too many Really Bad Things to think another him would be that dumb, they just wanted to make sure it was put back to rights properly.

He may even be a little offended for that Wolfwood and his Vash's sake if he ever finds out.
