because i'm not writing this, alan is and at most there will be an ic written book excerpt and THAT'S IT

anyway

it's sci-fi and the protagonist is in a state of confusion and is presumably not a scientist so it's fine if they don't know the details about the hows and the whys and the mystery makes it better!! and so the reader also doesn't need to know!! so i just don't need to think about it!!

anyway

i thought coming up with story concepts for alan to write about would be much harder but they do just keep on coming

and he hasn't even been here a month

alan: hm maybe coming here was good for my writer's block, actually

alan converts to fog because he somehow gets it in his head that this was a good thing

i've been trying to find out a reason for why he would IF he did
