CW: Sneks. Pics this time! (Please note that I do not share pics of sneks eating, or being threatening. Just of them being utter dorks.)

⋆ᴛʜᴀᴛᴀʟɪꜱᴛᴀɪʀ⋆
Blade, my oldest, waiting for food curled up in his water dish.

⋆ᴛʜᴀᴛᴀʟɪꜱᴛᴀɪʀ⋆
Figment, Blade's future girlfriend, waiting for food curled up under her water dish.

And the newest addition, Wrathion, who is still getting the hang of food.

Ashen Key
oh gosh she's pretty

⋆ᴛʜᴀᴛᴀʟɪꜱᴛᴀɪʀ⋆
She's lovely, but stupid. Bless her heart in the most southern way possible.

⋆ᴛʜᴀᴛᴀʟɪꜱᴛᴀɪʀ⋆
First night I got her, she tried to bite a Walmart sack. First time I fed her, she missed the food twice. Last night, she hit it, wrapped around it and the tongs, and then ate it ass-first. She's.......... She's giving it an A+ effort.

Thank you for the snake pics!

They're so pretty

⋆ᴛʜᴀᴛᴀʟɪꜱᴛᴀɪʀ⋆
You're welcome!

⋆ᴛʜᴀᴛᴀʟɪꜱᴛᴀɪʀ⋆
I've got plans - within like the next month or so - to get them all upgraded enclosures.

Craftyviking
Such pretty sneks

Craftyviking
Sneks are in our future. I know it

Craftyviking
Also, yesterday we saw a not-snek out on our walk (a legless lizard)

Craftyviking
it was all still pretending to be a stick

⋆ᴛʜᴀᴛᴀʟɪꜱᴛᴀɪʀ⋆
I love legless lizards. I just don't think I could take care of one. But they're still such neat creatures!

Craftyviking
Yeah we have 5 wild reptiles in norway, 3 snek and 2 lizur. One of the lizur is legless

Craftyviking
And only one of all 5 lays eggs. The rest are ovoviparious

⋆ᴛʜᴀᴛᴀʟɪꜱᴛᴀɪʀ⋆
That's so neat, though. I guess it would make sense for reptiles in colder climates to be ovoviviparous.

Craftyviking
Yeah. And only one of the 5 are venomous.

Craftyviking
That said we lost a horse to that one (an adder)

Craftyviking
He was probably allergic and got it straight in the bloodstream.

⋆ᴛʜᴀᴛᴀʟɪꜱᴛᴀɪʀ⋆
We've got... Lessee. Cottonmouths, copperheads, two kinds of rattlesnakes, and one occasional kind of coral snake that are venomous. Nonvenomous, we have a metric ton of colubrids. Rat snakes, black racers, ringnecks, brown snakes, eastern hognoses, watersnakes, milk snakes, garter snakes...

Craftyviking
Yeah we have the european adder, the grass snake/ring snake, smooth snake, slow worm and common lizard

Craftyviking
Partner and I are talking about getting a corn snake, I would love to keep a slow worm but it is not legal to keep native wild creatures as pets in Norway

⋆ᴛʜᴀᴛᴀʟɪꜱᴛᴀɪʀ⋆
I love my corn snakes. They are about as smart as a shoelace, but you can get so many colours. They're lovely.

Craftyviking
Well I would be happy with some stupid pets because lord knows our dogs are too smart

⋆ᴛʜᴀᴛᴀʟɪꜱᴛᴀɪʀ⋆
The only thing about them is that, while you're holding them, you really can't do much of anything but holding them. They're very mobile.
