PSA to anyone who still uses Twitter:

New settings got pushed so that automatically you ONLY can get DMs from blue checks unless you manually set it to everyone.

and it resets EVERY TIME YOU LEAVE THE APP AND COME BACK.

ADDENDUM: you can supposedly get it to stick to everyone if you toggle to "allow from users you follow", refresh, and then pick "everyone."

if you go straight from verified to everyone it changes back.
