White throated sparrows have two color morphs that almost act like secondary genders. White-crown birds tend to mate with tan-crowned birds if given a choice, rather than two similarly-colored birds pair up.

The color morphs are also linked to behavioral patterns, with white-crown birds being more assertive, and tan-crown birds being more nurturing.

And some things don't have to be porn to read like porn! That's something I've learned over the years.
