Anyone have suggestions for finding a reputable and inexpensive resume coach/writer? Husband is thinking of looking for a new job and wants to start with that but limited budget.
I know in NYC we have a program through the Mayor's office and/or libraries that will offer basic career support like this, often for free. I know you aren't in nyc, but check with your city to see what programs they have
One place to start is the Editorial Freelancers Association directory: Member Directory - Editorial Freelancers Association You can select "resumes and cover letters" from the "Materials" section. It'll list a ton of people, but you can narrow down further by doing a Ctrl-F search on the word "resume" to get people who front-load their descriptions with resume work.
Some may have their rates on their websites, but others you might have to contact to find out. Some will just edit resumes that are already written, but others might help more actively.
