Having a salami sandwich before I go out back to clean up the garden some more. Good news is what I thought was a completely overwhelming task now seems a bit more manageable. I was super depressed from that storm damage. I thought my garden was so trashed that I’d never get it cleaned again. I was emotionally crushed from it.
A couple of days ago I was going to spend “10 minutes” out there on storm cleanup and I was out there for 1.5 hours! LOL Overdid it a bit though but I did manage to make some good progress. Then yesterday I was out there at 10pm doing “just a little bit”. That turned into 30 minutes and I stopped because it was too dark to see anymore.
I’m going to see if I can get a bunch more done in 30-60 minutes before I exhaust myself completely. LOL Then it’ll be shower time followed by a bit of telly and then bed.
A garden is a bit like a relation ship. There is always some work in the garden. Sometimes there is a storm and you have to do some cleanup to get fresh greens and colours. But you should never rush it, never force it.
I really do not enjoy gardening at all. I like planting flowers and talking to them but the rest sucks! Plus the stupid weeds keep growing back between my tile cracks and they’re a real pain to get rid of. I did it in spring and then poured cleaning vinegar over everything. That usually gets me through the summer but this year it just wasn’t working that way
