I am just going to leave this here, but for the curious, Nao is based loosely on an Ala Demon

Until possessing Tsukasa, Nao's form was like... black wind/indistinct form with red eyes

and was 'born' from the negativity (like trauma, anger, hatred, loneliness etc) of one who had passed away, unnoticed by anyone, and having experienced a great deal of not good things

so that anguish/negativity/etc pooled up and finally amassed enough to take on 'form' (even if just cloudy)

So Nao is a product of what happened to someone and their feelings.

They aren't necessarily that person. But aspects of what happened can color their likes/dislikes/and how they react to certain things
