Dreamed my east coast and west coast plurk friends had a meetup and I was trying to decide on a gift for the west coast folks ( fuzzytale and thehats were definitely there but I think everyone else was invented dream people)

What my dream self decided on was a homemade video about how bears kill people on the east coast more than on the west coast (no idea if this is true but I kind of doubt it)

I call bullshit, the west coast has grizzlies. We just have dopey black bears that only kill loads of people on accident or if you have peanut butter or get in between them and their cubs

also, I have run across many a black bear over the years and have only ever had one be aggressive

(and it still ran away from a couple air horns... on day one, and a bunch of honking car horns on day two)

... and to be fair, it was less aggressive and more wanting us to please get out of its way so it could eat our breakfasts

Fair point. My husband's parents like to feed the black bears dog food pellets. We have tried getting them to stop.
