[foster] all right I feel so much better. We talked with our social worker. A lot. And I’m doing really good.

One of the worries I had was that she’s out of school and we both work full time so boredom is a real killer in the summer. But the social worker expressed interest in letting her get a job and that way she can have her own money for whatever she wants

Also it cracked me up a little. A lot of her family is from this one place out of state (anonymity reasons prevent me saying where) and the social worker was like “yeah she visited there recently with her family” and I got excited for her because I was like “oh man that’s all she wanted to do” “Allison she was bored by day three. That’s teenagers for you”

SO I WONT FEEL PERSONALLY ABOUT IT YESSSS

And I’m excited and hopeful. One of the things the social worker was asking us was if we minded visiting her aunt’s grave and I went “wtf of course we will take her there if she wants to go”

I’m scared but hopeful and I just want to give my brain a rest but I wanted to share that I was a lot better about this
