had rain. It was probably enough that I don't have to water all the pots today.

it has refilled the water butts. I may check on them and the pond later.

it looks like today is still somewhat too hot for Mrs Slocombe as she opens her flower heads more - unless it was the rain itself which knocked some of them sideways rather than just going floppy through dehydration. They haven't yet perked up with the addition of targeted water.

propped up some of her flopsy heads with her own leaves (by hooking them between the florets) and she looks a little better today. But many of her heads seem to have fewer florets than normal. She seems to have gone for more but smaller heads this year.
