2. Tryse tries so hard to make sure her loved ones (and guests) are comfy and happy. she takes such pride in being able to take care of people and it makes her :< when she can't manage

if half her life didn't involve going out and stabbing people for arcane secrets, she'd be perfectly content living the cottagecore life.

12. Yes. Her favorite stories are medieval romances and tales of chivalry. She just... It's the kind of thing she reads when she thinks no one's looking and she doesn't have anything more important to do.

(She actually had a huge crush on Sir Gawain as a teen, even though he's been dead for, uh. centuries. She didn't exactly plan on falling into bed with King Arthur later in life.)

It's just really lucky for her that she actually lives in a setting directly shaped by tales like that.

So people do hold those ideals dear.

It just makes her disconnect with other settings a bit harder, tho.

22. Tryse would really like excuses to lie in and sleep late, but she's spent the last five or so years of her life waking up as early as possible to handle spells/chores before anyone else is up.

(Catherine Foundling, when offering Tryse lessons on swordsmanship, told her to show up at the crack of dawn as a test. Tryse wakes up that early anyway, so...)

10. Aloy grabs her elbow sometimes, and they hold hands (or just snag pinkies) a lot, but that's less code and more the fact that they're both incredibly touch starved and know that they consider one another 'safe'.

She doesn't really have a 'code' set up because she's just so desirous of being touched in a non-threatening manner that anything just makes her too happy to think of hidden meanings unless it's, like. A touch paired with another gesture.

She's not actually a huge fan of big, boisterous hugs, sorry Raph, but she does tend to cling to girls when they allow her to. It's a different thing, tho. Big Hugs are a little overwhelming, whereas hugging Claudine or Aloy or Airi feels a bit more controlled and intimate to her.

but also, like. Those aren't great for codes.

Aloy grabbing her elbow is definitely for attention/comfort, tho.

But that's from Aloy, less from Tryse, and Tryse hasn't stolen that gesture yet.
