say what you want about Mihoyo and I won't tell you not to because honestly every game company out there has something they need to improve on and i personally think the storytelling in genshin impact could use a lot of improvement but

this recent trend of companies working with artists to create more content rather than immediately being like CEASE AND DESIST is... encouragine

I'd always been jealous that in Japan, there's a LOT of collaborations between Pokemon and independent artists to create product lines

nd I hope that as companies start to embrace the creativity of their western fanbases, we see less censorship of fans and more partnerships with them

also in another "you can absolutely say what you want about this company as a whole bc they've done a TON of shit wrong but also", like..... Riot was actually really good about that recently, too. all of their pride fanworks were done by queer fans that they brought on to work with them.
