I feel like I'm simultaneously existing in this dimension and some alternate one because I'm seeing avatar everywhere again and I'm like ".........what was even the cultural significance of this movie"
I got it with the first one. The now-standard 3D film technology was still pretty new and shiny, so it could get away with just being an extremely pretty tech demo for it.
If you put a gun to my head and told me to hypothesize as to Avatar 2 also exploding the box office, my first hypothesis would be "Tell Lil I love her."
...uhhhhhhhhh. Why?
