If that is true, then Apple has made some really good progress with GPU building.

Apparently Apple learned faster how to make proper GPUs than Intel. Intel has been sitting on their lame-duck built-in GPUs forever and never pimped them up to today's standards.

The Nvidia GPUs will absolutely kill Apple's best GPUs for things like gaming (as the article shows). One thing that's really interesting though, is that Apple's SoC architecture gives the GPU (and the Neural Engine) very, very high speed access to much more memory than a typical graphics card has.

That might make them really good for AI training.

One thing Apple is way out ahead with though, is performance per watt. That's less important for the Ultra class SoCs, but for anything mobile it's a game changer.

Not sure. But getting a new one for 99€ is not likely so . . . not getting one.
