i dreamed i was on a business trip with mama but i'd also bought tickets to a fancy once in a lifetime twisted wonderland symphonic performance that was paired with this artist couple for a full-on one-night theme park adventure, but then everything conspired to keep me from actually going

like first mama was being slow as usual (she follows her own internal clock and no other), then someone bought something they claimed would be useful but it arrived at the wrong door (i don't know where this dreamhouse came from but it was a split-level with two entrances), then by the time we finally left my phone was only half-charged

and i'd forgotten to grab the battery! so i had to go back and get that! but then more delays happened and next thing you know i'm with i forget who but they'd pulled out a treasure map which i decoded (this treasure was once again supposed to help somehow) but according to the instructions we were actually in france?

we did our best to navigate the french roads while the locals turned up their noses at us, and ended up at a place that my brain tried to tell me was a brothel but it was barely even a building? also lady from devil may cry was there and she had a long pipe and was trying to act like a madam

i apparently unlocked the power to make the floor sink to reveal things and lady started asking me to lower it to a specific level so she could use the rooms it revealed, but eventually i got frustrated because the show started at 7 and it was 7 when we left the house and we were approaching 9 (when the show ended) and not even dante could cheer me up

at some point idia showed up and didn't get why i was so unhappy but i told him about the concert and he was like WHAT

i feel like i did get there at some point and there were treasure chests but only the first few opened normally before you started coming across ones that looked open with an explosion of gold or dishes or something above it like a visual effect frozen in time

you could still open the chests! this visual thing was created by the couple and was in fact part of the show design

i never got to see the actual show though because i got dragged away by something again just as the music was starting, and my dream ended with vash the stampede trying to coax me to stop moping on the sofa in the playroom back home
