I'm currently debating buying Diablo 4 but I just put WOW on hiatus until fall so I dont have to waste my sub money, since I'm working a lot.. but wouldnt the Diablo 4 money be a bit like paying for the whole summer sub for WoW? I am questioning my rationalizing my plan

I've seen it has a rather short story part, all the streamers with early access finished it even before people with the standard edition started. So it's like 4 days of story, or less. And then it's just endless loop of what you had in D3 already.

And they have a hella expensive ingame store, where cosmetics cost like 20 bucks.

I only have D4 because I got it free with my Graphics Card. I will play through the story on easy mode and that's it.

I've been enjoying D4, but I am often a deliberately slow player and am not through with the story yet. the in-game store is indeed insanely expensive, though

I still can't cope with the fact that in 2023 there's still games out there that have isometric view and click to move. Like D4 and League of Legends.

I always want to turn the camera or move with WASD, which makes me execute shit by accident.

ok Tillerz : I had no idea it was click to move; I remember vaguely playing the older Diablo and the top-down but not the click to move; I am just too wasd and mouse, thank you for making it an easier decision.

Yeah it just plays exactly like d1 just with better graphics and music.

Not sure about the story, people say d4 story is awesome. But the bit of story we got in d1/d2 was also good.

But still it's only a really small part of the overall gameplay. 95% is just loop-leveling paragon levels? meh.

For many games I just watch a walkthrough by someone else to get the story.

I helped down the goblin yesterday after work (Tomtom timer is 100% life) and got the hood and cape but someone gave me the pet goat!! <3 They just general messaged if anyone needed it and I spoke up!
