I'm safely at my sister's house but the traveling part was a freaking nightmare... so first, the bus from Sulphur Springs (where I live) to Dallas (transfer point) was delayed by like 15 minutes, so we pulled in to Dallas like 5 minutes after the bus to San Antonio had already pulled out... so I had to call Greyhound and rebook my ticket, which thankfully

didn't cost anything extra. so my bus was set to leave at 8PM, we left a few minutes after that, and got to San Antonio with no more slip-ups

but it doesn't end there

I texted Jenny periodically letting her know how far away I was, and then I texted again when I got there, tried calling her, didn't get an answer...

it was like 1:15 in the morning when I got to San Antonio, so I figured she'd fallen asleep. my stepmom was still awake, so I let her know what was going on, and she started berating me for not being better prepared and not having any money in my checking account for an Uber. like, THESE ARE THINGS I COULDN'T HAVE POSSIBLY BEEN PREPARED FOR!

FINALLY my stepmom agreed to send me money for an Uber, I got into it at about 3:15, and Jenny called me, apologized profusely, I let her know I was on my way, and Jenny was there to greet me and give me a big hug when I rolled in at 3:40

I have to pay my stepmom back but it's fine

there was a very loud, very creepy guy on the bus, and he pressed right up against my back to help me get my carry-on in the overhead compartment

on the bright side, the woman who helped me changed my ticket was VERY nice, I had my giant Pikachu plushie out because it wouldn't fit in my suitcase so I had it to snuggle, and Jenny tucked me in when I all but collapsed on her couch, and she wasn't mad at me for calling her 53 times

plus my summer job starts today AND Jenny cleared out a hall closet so I could unpack and don't have to live out of my suitcases for the summer

that is a lot. I'm glad you made it safe and sound.
