Today was a gardening chore day: I planted 36 corn plants, 25 bean plants, 12 tomato plants and 6 chilis. I also sowed quinoa. And then mowed the lawn and used the clippings as mulch

I still have to plant the various pumpkins and squashes, the peas, more beans, the 3 sisters set ups, various summer flowers. And so on

But it feels good to have things more in the soil

Very much yes. I got a decent amount of mulch down too. Need to ask the neighbors for more lawn clippings.

I would give you mine if I could. I need to mow the lawn next week and there’s always several car trips worth of grass to take to the bio waste

I'll take it, but I think the trip might be a little long

But with the heat we are supposed to have I am guessing I can do another mowing in a week

I put in second plantings of cucumber and pole bean seeds today, because slugs mowed down the first ones, plus planted about 10 yarrow seedlings and about 1/4 of my planned daikon, plus harvested a bunch of carrots, chopped and dropped the turnips, and pruned and trellised tomatoes
