He insisted there's no such thing as Father's Day (I said there literally is) and that Mother's Day is overrated.

ಠ_ಠ: Well, you know what mothers usually do for you, plus giving birth is literally gambling your life with death. Mothers work 24/7 without holidays, I understand fathers are the bread winners. But again, mothers' work are waaaay more tired.

My mom is the one with stable job, but she never throws that in his face, so I guess my dad is just not emotionally eloquent with his frustrations.

Maybe go with the backhanded agreement. Like, "Yeah dad Mother's Day is bullshit. Surely we treat mom better the entire year than most families do for that one day" kinda thing.
