writing all these supplementary materials in the form of an in-character blog has been so ridiculously fun

i was writing jo's "next post" where she talks about odin's sons and it's like

i do have to run british spellcheck afterwards bc she's supposed to be british, though what really comes across are her pop culture references anyway lolol

(and she would've used "arse" but she thinks ASSgard is funny so)

jo's going to end up naming everyone as "viking something" while victor's shaking his head in the background all "no, jo"

the other fun part of writing these "guides" in jo's POV is that she's not exactly a reliable narrator? it's either she retells stuff victor and silje have told her, gives opinions on those characters she's actually met, speculates on those she otherwise doesn't know, and quotes wikipedia hahahaha

i'm glad! this really started because people said they picked up the book but they're not familiar with norse myth, and i thought, i could make a primer... but why not make it fun
