My neighbour who lives across the street from me finally succumbed and lost his 6 year fight with cancer. He was hoping to make it to his daughter's wedding next week, but I guess it was not to be.

I lost my mother a few years ago to cancer and I almost lost my husband's mother a while back, the disease of the century.
