I cannot wait until I get to fill out a feedback form for my long-term sub. It will be scathing.

She's out today, after having to leave early yesterday, and she has not really....managed my classes well. My 6th and 7th periods had to actually be split between her and two tutors because behavior was that off the charts. Please note that I did not have these problems at all because I had routines--which I gave her.

But she wants to be "friends" with them. Bringing in candy for no reason, telling them that he boyfriend can give them jobs installing roofs over the summer (reported by a tutor to our AP because uh these boys are 14 and hispanic. 10 bucks to whoever can guess what that likely means for this "job").

She doesn't consistently report grades, so one of my tutors has been trying to keep up for me. But I am like two weeks behind on getting anything regarding my ESL I and III classes, and the group she has for 6th bell has several missing workbook pages they said they turned in but can't be found.

Oh! And what she does report only notes what's been completed...no actual grades, despite her having the teacher book with answers, so you know those kids are likely BSing whatever they turn in.

Further note: I'm on FMLA leave, I honestly shouldn't be doing any grading or anything, but I cannot trust that anything will be done with her...there's only two weeks left so unless that tutor report about the roofing job goes anywhere, she's likely not going to be let go just because coverage will be horrendous.

But like...I made a calendar for last month and this month, noting what to collect. Linking worksheets/assignments and slide show notes and I'm just like...."What are we doing if we're not using what I gave you?"

They were supposed to read the To Kill a Mockingbird stage play during long testing bells, and one of my tutors came in from assisting with testing with 20 minutes left (to a nearly 2 hour bell), and kids were up in the room, chatting, on their phones...She and another tutor (my problem one), never even pulled out the books to have them work.
