when I get a tag I'm emotionally invested in I tend to read it reeeeaaal slow. like unwrapping a present

obviously the actual extra time spent reading is time I'm not replying, and also because it can take so long I may not be in the moment anymore once I finish

I do this when I get commissions back too but it's less of an issue there obviously

sometimes I also psych myself up so much that I get embarrassed to reply... like dude you wrote that real good tag off of MY comment?? really??? how

anyway I'm still not gonna be in a game for a while

I wonder if this is an autism thing or just like a me thing

maybe? I am the opposite where it's like "there are tags in my inbox, I must reply as soon as possible or just drop the thread if it feels done enough" but I know autism things can and do manifest as opposites

I think that it'd be not quite right to consider it a 1:1 autism thing because there's such a wide range of hypoempathy vs hyperempathy etc. But sometimes I do get really emotionally invested in the dream world and experience it really intensely
