i played through a bunch of p4 and most of p5

playing pq2 and p4au are putting me in the persona mood

I mean I am biased but I also will recommend Persona 3

haven't touched purse owner 3 but p3p is also available to me

P3 is my favourite of them, although there’s a lot about it that makes it miserable to play in retrospect

It depends on how much of a completionist you are on social links, which are fairly strict, but also there’s a lot you can do to just bum rush things

some of them are a relic of the fact p3p came out in 2009

and p3fes in 2007.

I need to get back to P3P - which I will, don’t look at me like that Zero - but what I’ve played of it I enjoy a lot so I can at least say that as someone who wandered into it blind on mechanics

The worst one was not being able to control your party members which I think is fixed in P3P

But like demon fusion is much more of a slog as well

I think P5R and P4G both do a lot to improve the base games, and I'd recommend playing them. P3P ... yeah, as much as I love the phantom thieves and a lot of the ideas at play, I don't think anything tells the story as narratively or thematically cohesively as P3P. You're going to miss a lot of the QoL stuff from the later games, but story-wise ...?
