Crunchyroulette time

Since I have some new friends:

This is a game we play to damage ourselves

The rules:

- Go to Crunchyroll

- Ask it for a randomly-selected anime from their entire catalog

- Watch the entire first episode

- Continue until we die

- Skips are allowed for anything longer than 30 minutes or, as per a recent rules update, anything about the Shinsengumi (long story)

or if we've all seen it

- Beyond that, we get ONE emergency veto

oh good I love dying

this is a hell in which there is little escape

oh holy moly did we finally make the shinsengumi rule ironclad, i've missed like a year of roulettes

it's just

EVERY SINGLE ONE is boring

there has never been a compelling first episode of any anime about the shinsengumi

maybe gintama

tonight we were spared the worst of hell

Gintama is fine because it's not about the Shinsengumi, they're just side characters

yeah I think part of why the first ep always sucks is because they spend at least three whole episodes establishing who is who

there's like eight million shinsengumi anime and you have to sit through the world's most melodramatic 30 minute version of the DK Rap each time

so it's favorable to just, not

just rattle them off like kill la kill's recap
