slowly coming closer with some low slow rolling thunder waves.

And then it suddenly is there. With blinding flashes

No rolling thunder but earsplitting cracking strikes.

some hitting the railway pylons, sending sparks flying, triggering the overload valve banging over.

and then one hits the pylon right beside the house.
