- Duplicity stuff. I've been fairly disconnected here because of house and moving things and while I'm not beating myself up over it, this is not where I want to be
I know I owe a starter so I'll probably do an open at Arcane Sanctuary (for Yennefer and Stephen Strange at least) where Hawke's just doing the equivalent of magical shadowboxing
I need to triage my inbox too. Some things I'm going to have to let go even though I don't necessarily want to because it's pretty untenable, but some of these threads are narratively important.
I know I need to keep - Pre and Post Realignment event threads - New CR establishment threads - Heist + heist fallout things - Marzipan Meltdown threads - Negotiation - Post murder - Blacklight party and aftermath
Narratively, here's where Hawke's at: - Chris' experience in the People Zoo causes Hawke to go with Amelia and commit a murder + Chris and Hawke end up finally acknowledging they have feelings for each other and some messy Amelia boundary setting
- Heist and subsequent punishment. Hawke is unable to sleep for 48 - 54 hrs because his suppression anklet makes him dream lucidly in a void instead of the Fade so he keeps jerking awake in a panic. He mainlines coffee at a diner that first night, protagonist guilts himself into a panic attack on Chris the next morning-
Then visits Peter/has an almost fight with Juno. Visits Amelia in her caged punishment the next day. The day after, Chris catches that Hawke still hasn't slept when Hawke knocks over everything ever at work and gifts him dreamless sleep chocolates so he can finally get sleep.
- Martin vanishes, plunging Chris and Jon into bad coping spirals. Hawke is over a lot to help do chores and things and be generally supportive. Jon engages in dubcon pet play with Hawke who... doesn't hate it? But it's awkward.
- Amelia's birthday/housewarming. Hawke gifts her a song and a necklace with half of the Amell crest. He receives a hand embroidered handkerchief with family symbols of Amelia's on it in turn. They're romantic and gross.
- Visions of doom and panicked goodbyes. In the span of 48 hrs Hawke nearon has a meltdown on Jon, gets tattoos with Chris (a raven on him, a hawk on Chris), magically pours his Duplicity memories into a vial so he can maybe keep them and helps Amelia do the same, gets a backstory reveal from Morrigan, and says a lot of very sad goodbyes
- Surprise! Realignment. He's Tier 3, which he assumes is because the city found out about the murder. Non-con throat fucking from Grayson who still tries his best to help deal with it via telepathy (+15 friendship) and non-con pain play with Amelia that causes some serious strife between them.
- Next morning, Hawke wakes up having healed himself but too late because of the power suppression he got hit with the day before so now he has little scars everywhere on his arms and legs. He checks in with his people and spends the day with Amelia in her yard in the sun.
He spends some of the next with Chris dealing with the fallout of that and both Caleb and Jacob being gone (poor Chris x.x) and also some time with Morrigan. Hawke loves his people but he's starting to feel very strained and needing to reset but doesn't recognize that's what he needs.
- D/s Finder calls Hawke stupid and he's more annoyed by that than he should be. Like, really? But he's able to talk it through with Chris. Also offers his help to a few others with expanded quota because he finds solace in being of use (falling back into bad habits of stretching himself too thin a bit...)
He goes to see both Amelia and Morrigan again around then and those threads aren't far enough for me to say what's going to come out of them yet, but with Amelia they need to have a talk about how to move forward and with Morrigan I expect a reckoning on how Hawke's been pulling away some due to Juno's feelings
He'll also at this point have reached out to Grayson about bartending work at the Crucible (after having tried to heal his mangled hand also around the Finder).
Background radiation post Realignment is that Honestea/Guiltea is a in a little bit of a hole with Festival having given away all the stock when they thought they were being sent home so Hawke has decided to pick up a different secondary job in order to help with those bills.
At the end of the month, Hawke will be getting fined for spending too much time at other dominants houses aside from his own and it'll wipe out the rest of the bail fund Midge left him, so he'll be working a lot in the next few months.
Headspace for Hawke is not great. He's defaulted to trying to be there for everyone else, though he is at least acknowledging he's not in a good place with Chris at the very least.
Future plans are: - Hawke looking into practicing some light domming to assert some control over his life damnit - Nipple piercings - Magic research into teleportation/interplanar travel - Some fun and fluffy good things please??
He'll get slowly better, I promise. He just needs some time and distance. And to resolve things with Amelia and things with Morrigan cause that reckoning is gonna be fun and juicy difficult :c
(Also in terms of triage, gonna preemptively say that if you want to let go of the Tumenalia and Hunter/Hunted threads, I'm totally fine with that. They're both fun, but....Tumenalia was DEFINITELY a while ago at this point.)
I think the "we're both having a real bad time but at least we can talk" Tier 3 thread can fade after another tag or two if you need it to! I just wanna be able ot use it for AC :x
Amelia may get to calling Hawke out on his bullshit in this d/s finder thread. Depends on how off-kilter he looks, cuz she's being a bit more attentive to his thoughts/expressions after all this Realignment bullshit. >>;

He'll probably end up talking to her there about her guilt making him feel guilty and then creating a bit of an echo chamber if she calls him out, so that should hopefully be productive
Oh! I meant the other d/s one. Mirrors require a vulnerability that Amelia does not realize is her real problem with understanding why they're A Thing for people. Buuuut now that she's agreed to the idea (lightly), can definitely use it for the suggestion for light subbing later.
That is a tall order, sir. She might get brief glimpses, but right now it's gonna mostly bounce off. Sorry, boyfriend, she does love you but that's a tough nut to crack/change after several decades of not trying to see herself nicely. >>;;;
