Picking up where I left off in Persona 4 Golden; I'm debating about doing the Naoto romance plot or the Rise romance plot in my current playthrough. (In theory, I could do both, but I'd rather not)

I'm in the lead-up to Rise's dungeon.

Well if you want to collect all the costumes, the only way to get all of Naoto's, you have to romance Naoto.

I think Rise is the more "canonical" romance though.

Also I'm more like Rise, and my sister is like Naoto xD

I'm not too worried about the costumes - I'm playing the Switch version, so I'm not going for trophies or achievements.

Plus, it seems to me like Naoto's mainly shipped with Kanji, if the spin-off games like Persona 4 Arena are anything to go by, so I'd feel a little weird about "defying canon" as it were haha

Indeed, Kanji/Naoto is very much a thing. Although it's a little bit unrequited.

Wheras with Rise, if you don't romance her she's basically got... Teddie maybe?

Took a break for supper (lost track of time), but I'm back. Going through earlier dungeons to try wrapping up some sidequests, and then I'll try Rise's dungeon.

The best dungeon

Got the Gentlemen's Tux (after looking through the rare treasure chests in Yukiko's dungeon and finding seemingly every item aside from it), so now I'll save and give Rise's dungeon a try.

I beat the miniboss; this is taking a bit longer than I thought, and I feel like my party's under-equipped (I was hoping that I'd find a weapon for the MC in a treasure chest, but no such luck), but at least I'm making progress.

Made it to floor 9, which seemed like as good of a spot as any to return to the entrance, restore some SP, save, and get off for the night. I can hold up to 12 Personas now, so I'm tempted to see what I can make through fusion tomorrow.
